A Stable Isotope Approach for Estimating the Contribution of Recycled Moisture to Precipitation in Lanzhou City, China

The proportional contribution of recycled moisture to local precipitation is a geographically dependent parameter that cannot be ignored in water budgets. Stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopes are sensitive environmental changes can applied investigate the modern cycle. In this study, three-component mixing model used calculate different vapors (advection, evaporation transpiration) summer Lanzhou city, Northwest China. results show for all sampling sites Lanzhou, advection vapor largest, followed by plant transpiration vapor, surface usually least, with average values 87.96%, 9.1% 2.9%, respectively. spatial differences generally larger than those high appear Yongdeng, Daheng Gaolan.
